  1. Would love to see make/model and some details about the other project builds.

  2. The kz400 and cb450 both were heavily documented throughout both builds on this site as well as Mulligan Machine. I can find out more details about the other three bikes, but only one of them actually broke one of the rules. That bike was the Goldwing due to motor size. He picked it up titled and ready to run for only $900! The BMW was part of a combo purchase for $1500 where he got TWO bikes in the deal, both being BMW's. Split the difference and you have $750 for each. The cb750 was built out a handful of basketcases purchased for $600 if I remember correctly. Hopefully more people will give me updates as this next years run comes closer. I have heard rumor of some New York and New Jersey riders making it out this year, but may be too early to tell.

  3. Awesome. How do you find such inexpensive project bikes? In my area (LA), I comb the classifieds, ebay, and craigslist only to find overpriced, relatively complete bikes.

Where are these non-running basket-cases to breath new life into?

  4. I guess we are lucky to have these deals pop up. Sometimes they are few and far between, and then other times they just keep popping up. The cl350 project I am building I got for $50. The kz400 I built last year I only paid $100 for. For a good set of bones that you plan to modify anyways, this isn't too bad of a deal and most are too scared or lack the knowledge it takes to breath new life into them. That's fine by me.
