Check out these awesome pegs welded to the front motor mounts. They were wrapped in electrical tape to help dampen the vibes. Ingenuity at it's finest.







Carbs are long gone. Part of the right intake boot is gone, but luckily they left me a broken mounting screw to pull out.





Just enough meat to unscrew with pliers, so disaster averted.



The motor was pretty crusty, so I pulled it to start cleaning things up and get a good assessment of everything.







After some scrubbing.



I'm still not finished, but most of the nasty buildup is gone.



I'll address the carb situation in the next day or two.
